2020 - Present

Along our path, I am walking with tiny hands holding mine. Together we are discovering the beauty that blooms below our feet. We have moments of discovery when we find the perfect feather that has floated down and awaited our arrival. We collect, treasure, and treat each surprise from nature as if it is the most spectacular thing we have ever experienced. While my children’s hands are no longer tiny the exploration and wonder are still the same. This is a visual catalog of moments experienced across the country with those I love. Nature creates the composition within the confines of the flower press. The pressure on the freshly plucked specimen acts as a snapshot to freeze that moment in time. Once released from the grips they are encased inside of tea bags. Tea time is a ritual of bringing people together and sharing experiences both in the present and reminiscing of the past. Using the item discarded from this ritual to become the vessel that now encases what was the now and will forever be the past.
